PORT BYRON – Rich Morthland, a member of the Rock Island County Board and Republican candidate for the open 71st House District seat, is pleased to announce today that his campaign headquarters in Port Byron is now hosting a farmers market on Wednesday afternoons this summer

“Several weeks ago, a local produce stand contacted my campaign office and asked if they could set up a small farmers market in our campaign headquarters parking lot on Wednesday afternoons,” Morthland said. “We thought this was a wonderful idea, and we readily agreed to have them come in.”

Morthland campaign headquarters is located on Route 84 in Port Byron at 215 N. High Street

“The stand is not affiliated with our campaign in any way except for the fact that we will share our space,” Morthland said. “We are pleased to be able to provide our space as a service to our community.”

The stand is open from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesdays through the summer.
